We have a pale yellow-tiled shower and a green-tiled floor. Those tile colors would not be my choice, but we worked with what we had.
We painted the heating vent ducts to match the wall color.
We kept the existing vanity & mirror.
We used Behr Marquee paint in "varnished ivory". It really brightened up the space.
After:

White towels from Sam's Club.
Bath rug & towel rack from Target.
What a difference!
